Transformation: Roman 14:13-18

Good Morning,

As this week hurries to an end, I pray that you are thankful for the progress that you have made in your Communion Commitment. As we continue walking in the invitation to Communion to our intention to lead a new life I hope that you commitment to intentional community is growing stronger.  Review the sermon from Sunday if you need to at the following link, http://stmarkame.sermon.tv/mc/9786574

Today devotion continues  the Call to Intentional Community by continually paying the debt of loves that protects the community and community relationship  as we lookout for one another.

Blessings
Barbara

SCRIPTURE
13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.

OBSERVATION
  1. We should not judge others.
  2. Do not be a stumbling block or hindrance to others.
  3. Do not destroy others by what you do.
  4. God is pleased when we operate in righteousness, peace, and joy.
APPLICATION
  1. In what areas to you need to change so that you are not a hindrance to others?
  2. What sacrifice do you need to make to walk in love to not destroy another?

PRAYER
Father reveal to me the liberties that I take that are destructive to others. Help me live a life that is pleasing to you and is an instrument of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN
